ABOUT

Gallery

Located in the picturesque town of Pinawa, Manitoba, Pinawa Art Gallery showcases the work of local artists from Pinawa and surrounding areas. Our artists range from novice to emerging and established artists. Our artistic interests are just as diverse as the mediums we choose and include: painting (oil, acrylic and watercolour), pottery and sculpting, photography, fibre art and jewelry. The Gallery is run by the artists who volunteer their time to manage and staff it. Pinawa Art Gallery is an initiative of Pinawa Art 211.

Pinawa Art 211

Pinawa Art 211 is a non-profit arts organization whose mission is to develop and support artists in the area. Since it’s beginning in 2011, Art 211 has had many accomplishments. More on Pinawa Art 211 can be found here.

Membership

We welcome visual artists from Pinawa and the surrounding area to join us. To show and sell work in the gallery, artists must have some kind of residential interest in the area, living here either full time or seasonally. Annual membership in Pinawa Art 211 and the Art Gallery is required, as is a willingness to volunteer for shifts. A commission is retained by the gallery for work sold. For more information please contact us at pag211inpinawa@gmail.com or see our “CONTACT” page.

Support

Recently, there has been a renewed awareness of the importance of local businesses. The Gallery would like to thank those who have supported us throughout our development. Pinawa Art Gallery has both benefitted from, and contributed to, the unique culture of the area and the relationship with the town of Pinawa and it’s residents. We’d like to acknowledge our appreciation of local and area residents for their volunteer hours and financial donations. In addition, would like to give special recognition to the people and organizations listed below for their support. We look forward to our future together in this rich, creative environment “Where Artists Flourish”.
