My husband and I owned a medical software company in Canada for eighteen years after which we retired to our cottage on a lake in Manitoba. 

In 2009, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and during the long winter of chemo and radiation my focus changed without any conscious realization of it happening.    That winter I began to explore my creative side making a series of fun and colorful hats to wear while I was bald.

After that experience, joining the ranks of cancer survivors, I wanted to create beautiful accessories for women.  Moving through a series of stages, I am now fascinated with both wet felting and silk fusion. I most enjoy making Downton Abbey style cloche hats, beautiful scarves and shawls, felted handbags, tea cosies and silk fusion clutch purses. Currently, I am exploring a line of tops for women made from nuno felted silk chiffon.
